The Statesman welcomes comments and corrections from readers. To submit a correction, send us the title of the article in question, the date published, and a brief description of any erroneous information.

Letter to the editor: The Statesman accepts letters as a way of encouraging thoughtful conversation. A letter to the editor should be in direct response to an article published by us. To write a letter to the editor, send fewer than 500 words. Please include your name, email, and phone number so that you can be contacted.

Note: Letters may be shortened or edited as needed without changing purpose or context. Not all letters may be published.
