Statesman in News: Katie Lee, Lily Jiang, Olivia Han and Victoria Feng

Copy editor Katie Lee ’21 entered in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the third consecutive year. In past years, Lee was the recipient of one national gold medal, one national silver medal, five golden keys and three silver keys. This year, Lee won 2 national silver medals, three gold keys, and 2 silver keys. She received the highly acclaimed Best in Grade Award. 

 

In-depth coordinator Lily Jiang entered in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the fifth consecutive year. In past years, Jiang was the recipient of one gold key and two silver keys. This year, Jiang won a gold key for her short story, “Mischief in Halloween.”

 

Web editor Olivia Han ’21 entered in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the second consecutive year. The recipient of a silver key from last year, Han won a gold key this year for her acclaimed poem “Layers.”

 

Staff reporter Victoria Feng ’21 entered in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the third consecutive year. The recipient of two silver keys in total, Feng won a silver key for her piece “Raising Their Voices.”
